Residential Inspection
Priority Outcome: Promote good jobs for Angelenos all across Los Angeles
This program provides residential inspection services for one- and two-family dwellings, including new
structures, additions, alterations, swimming pools, retaining walls, various accessory structures, and
demolition of existing structures.

28. Residential Inspector Training Program 865,496 - 1,274,610
Continue funding and resolution authority for 11 Assistant
Inspector IVs for the Inspector Training Program in support of
the residential inspection program. Continue one-time funding
in the Transportation Account to provide mileage
reimbursement. Funding is provided by the Building and Safety
Building Permit Enterprise Fund. Related costs consist of
employee benefits.

Add nine-months funding and resolution authority for six
Building Mechanical Inspectors to conduct residential
