I look forward to discussing these issues and any others that may arise as you work
to adopt a fiscally responsible, balanced budget for 2020-21. I understand that this year,
more than any other in recent years, this only will be the beginning. I look forward to
working with you in the months ahead as we gain a better understanding of the impacts of
the COVID-19 pandemic on the City -- both to support the City’s response and protect the
