                                             Housing Strategies and Services
           Priority Outcome: Create a more livable and sustainable city
           This program is responsible for developing new strategies to expand the development and rehabilitation of
           affordable housing, including a program to implement affordable housing projects on publicly owned land
           (Land Development Unit), and the creation of a new Loan Program to preserve Naturally Occurring Affordable
           Housing (NOAH). This program also provides services such as: the Homeownership Purchase Assistance
           Program, which provides Low and Moderate-Income Purchase Assistance to first time homebuyers; the
           Handyworker Program, which assists low-income seniors and disabled households by funding and making
           necessary repairs and modifications to their residences; and the Lead Hazard Remediation Program, which
           provides grants to remove lead-based paint from low income households with children six and under at risk of
           lead poisoning.

                Continue funding and resolution authority for one Rehabilitation
                Construction Specialist I to support the Handyworker Program,
                which preserves affordable housing for low income families
                through minor home repairs and improvements. Funding is
                provided by the Community Development Trust Fund. Related
                costs consist of employee benefits.
