Housing LOW-RISE DESIGN LAB
Affordability Funding is provided for a new program to guide the
& Supply development and design of duplex and quadplex
projects on single-family zoned lots, as now permitted
under state law. The Department of City Planning and
c o n t i n u e d the Department of Building and Safety will create pre-
approved innovative designs in collaboration with local
architects and engineers.
PRIORITY HOUSING PROGRAM (PHP)
Staffing is allocated to reduce processing times for
housing projects with at least 20% of rental units
affordable to low-income households or 30% of for-
sale units affordable to low- or moderate-income
households, as directed by Executive Directive 13 and
Executive Directive 30.
Funding for increased staff to streamline and expedite
general housing projects are also provided in the
Bureau of Engineering and Department of Building and
