PARK AND RECREATIONAL SITES AND FACILITIES FUND

Funding restricted to the acquisition and development of parks and recreational sites and facilities, using funding
generated by a dwelling unit tax assessment on new construction in the City.

Funding is provided for design, acquisition, and construction costs for authorized projects, including shortfalls resulting
from cost escalation or other emergent factors. Allocations to individual projects are provided by the City
Administrative Officer, subject to approval by the Mayor and City Council.

For 2022-23, funding will be allocated in amounts based on final bid results for projects ready to proceed into
acquisition or construction. Priority will also be given to address funding shortfalls or repay ineligible costs for
Proposition K Specified projects, in order to leverage the availability of supplemental funding sources and satisfy the
City's legal mandate to complete all remaining program requisites prior to the sunset of the Proposition K program in
2026-27.
