66. Office of Re-entry. Funding is provided for the Office of $ 150,000 $ - $ 150,000
Re-entry to improve outcomes for and opportunities
available to justice-involved individuals. The Office serves
as a resource convener and collaborator for a variety of
stakeholders to address the short and long-term needs of
the City's justice-involved community members by serving
a vital role in policy advocacy, systemic reform, and
program architecture and development.
67. Office of the Chief Procurement Officer. The 2021-22 750,000 (750,000) -
Budget included one-time funding for the Office of
Procurement Officer for outreach and equity, salaries, and
contract expenses. Funding for this item is now included
in the Office of City Administrative Officer Budget.
68. Open Data and Digital Services. Funding is provided to 1,250,000 - 1,250,000
enable the City to contract with vendor(s) for the
deployment, creation, or maintenance of open data
platforms and digital services that enable efficiencies,
openness, and participation. To support these efforts, the
City will also staff leadership for technology-driven
innovation through data and software.
69. Promise Zone. Funding is provided for the Promise Zone 200,000 - 200,000
Unit that was established in June 2014 to coordinate the
activities of the federally-designated Los Angeles Promise
Zone. This Unit supports a partnership of more than 50
local organizations creating strategies to address poverty
and other conditions that impact the quality of life in the
Zone. The Promise Zone is located west of Downtown
and generally includes the communities of Westlake, Pico
Union, Koreatown, East Hollywood, and Hollywood.
70. Reparations Commission. The 2021-22 Budget 500,000 (500,000) -
included one-time funding for the formation of an advisory
Reparations Commission and to engage an academic
partner to advise on the creation of a pilot slavery
reparations program for Black Angelenos. Funding is not
continued in 2022-23.

71. Additional Homeless Services. The 2021-22 Budget 79,330,906 (24,330,906) 55,000,000
included one-time funding for homeless services to fund
gaps in the City's effort to address the homeless crisis.
The 2022-23 Budget continues one-time funding at a
reduced level.
