Assessment Year
The Assessor has not provided a preliminary estimate for inflation related changes to property tax for the 2020 tax roll. Growth in this category is capped
at 2 percent by Proposition 13. When inflation is low, as measured by the consumer price index, the full two-percent adjustment will not be made. For
the 2020 tax year, it is assumed that the full adjustment will be assessed as indicated by the consumer price index for the western region which has been
above 2 percent since the third quarter of 2016.
