Priority Outcome: Ensure our communities are the safest in the nation
This program provides engineering and technical support, and implementation of communications equipment
in all City buildings, supports radio, microwave and avionics systems, and installs and maintains
communications equipment in public safety vehicles and helicopters.

Continue funding and add regular authority for seven positions
consisting of six Communications Electricians and one
Communications Engineering Associate III. These positions
provide support for major public safety communications
projects such as the restoration of the Mt. Lee Voice Radio
Tower and the Portable Radios and Mobile Data Terminal
repair. Related costs consist of employee benefits.
